Gasless Solana wallet
Overview of the @tetherto/wdk-wallet-solana-gasless module.
The @tetherto/wdk-wallet-solana-gasless module manages Solana accounts that send transactions through a Kora-compatible paymaster. It wraps the standard Solana wallet module and adds paymaster-funded native SOL sends, SPL token transfers, fee quotes, message signing, and read-only account support.
These pages document the published @tetherto/wdk-wallet-solana-gasless@1.0.0-beta.6 package. Managers share Solana RPC and Kora paymaster clients across derived accounts, and configuration accepts existing clients or mixed failover lists. Test your RPC and paymaster configuration on the target network before production use.
This module requires a Solana RPC endpoint and a Kora-compatible paymaster endpoint. The paymaster address becomes the transaction fee payer, and fees are quoted in the configured paymaster token's base units.
Features
- Gasless Solana Transactions: Quote, sign, and send native SOL transfers through a paymaster.
- Signed Transaction Handoff: Inspect the exact fully signed transaction returned by this account, then send it through the configured Solana RPC without contacting the paymaster again.
- SPL Token Transfers: Transfer SPL tokens and create the recipient associated token account when needed.
- Paymaster Fee Quotes: Estimate paymaster token fees before sending.
- Validated Paymaster Responses: For unsigned flows, derive the charged amount from a recognized SPL token transfer to the configured paymaster token account instead of trusting separate paymaster metadata.
- Normalized Transaction Status: Read processed, confirmed, and finalized signature states, or wait for a target finality level.
- Per-Operation Overrides: Override the fee token for unsigned operations and retain that token when quoting or sending the signed result; use
transactionMaxFeefor send/sign caps andtransferMaxFeefor transfer caps. - Typed Errors: Import public error classes from the package root for configuration, fee-cap, missing-payment, provider, and timeout failures.
- SLIP-0010 Derivation Paths: Use the same Solana derivation path behavior as
@tetherto/wdk-wallet-solana. - Read-Only Accounts: Check balances, quote fees, read transaction finality, and verify signatures for an address without a private key.
- Message Signing: Sign and verify messages with Ed25519 account keys.
- Provider Failover: Pass ordered RPC or paymaster endpoint lists with retry behavior.
- TypeScript Support: Use bundled type declarations for the module classes and config types.
Signed quotes and sends use the effective paymasterToken to locate the embedded payment. A missing match now raises NoSuchElementError before broadcast. This check does not validate every instruction or establish the provenance of a signed transaction: use the exact FullySignedTransaction produced by this account, retain its fee-token configuration, and independently validate any externally supplied payload.
